About
At Bello, we work with the best ingredients and incorporate those ingredients and techniques to achieve transformational results. Chef Sandro Nardone was born and raised in Atina, Italy. He grew up in a family of chefs and from an early age, and food was his passion. Chef Sandro studied cooking in Italy and worked at several restaurants including the famous Al Mulino outside Rome. In 2012, Chef Sandro founded Angelina's Pizzeria in Dan Point, which is known for some of the best brick oven pizza in Orange County. In 2019, he introduced Bello (4-year Michelin Guide), showcasing his unique cuisine rooted in modern Italian cooking. Most recently, he launched Sugo pizzeria in Costa Mesa. “I NEVER leave reviews. Not if I’m paid, not if it’s bad or good. I have to say that Bello was the best restaurant experience I’ve had on a trip in my lifetime. Yes the food, yes the service, yes the atmosphere, but I could’ve never anticipated the level of hospitality from Cameron (server) and Jessica (GM). We traveled to Newport Beach for vacation and came here twice for dinner in less than a week because of the love and connection cultivated by staff. We truly felt like we were at home at our normal spots, and the feeling of home when you’re away is so priceless. Thank you Jessica and Cameron and the whole team for providing such an excellent experience for two evenings. Can’t wait to come back!”

“We were in Newport for a week and decided to come to this place twice because it was so amazing. Cameron and Jessica were also incredibly amazing and so kind. You cannot ask for better service! The drinks were top notch, I recommend the dirty martinis. The food was out of this world. Every recommendation was excellent and if it would not have been frowned upon I would have licked my plate clean. Thank you so much Bello and staff for making this trip truly amazing. Can’t wait until we see you again next time.”
