What people say

“Extremely disappointing experience, especially on my 30th birthday. I came to Cowboys and Poodles to celebrate my 30th birthday with a group of 10 people, and unfortunately, our experience started with an incredibly disappointing interaction at the door. The woman checking people in refused to let our group enter because she apparently believed we had been drinking too much, even though everyone in our group had consumed one drink or less. We were there to celebrate a special occasion, and I felt we were unfairly judged before we were even given a chance to enjoy our night. What made the experience even more upsetting was that, as an Asian woman, I couldn’t help but wonder whether racial bias played a role in how we were treated. I understand that establishments have the right to refuse entry when they believe someone is intoxicated, but that doesn’t make it acceptable to make assumptions about an entire group without reasonable grounds. Turning away a group celebrating a milestone birthday based on what felt like an unfair assumption was embarrassing and incredibly disappointing. A night that was supposed to be memorable for the right reasons started off on a very sour note. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and looks into how guests are being treated at the door. Everyone deserves to be treated fairly and respectfully, regardless of their race or the size of their group.”

“Beer was a bit pricey for being brewed across the street”

“The atmosphere is great, but the service is severely lacking. It seems like everyone likes to take their time. From the two hosts at the door who took forever to get us seated, to the slow service at the bar, the pace was incredibly frustrating. Overall, I would not recommend.”
