“I love Lupe’s and have been coming here for easily 7+ years, back when they only had one location. The portions used to be HUGE, and that was honestly part of what made Lupe’s so good. But tonight was disappointing. I ordered a California burrito, and it was basically all French fries and cheese. There was barely any steak in it. I wanted some protein with my carbs, but it genuinely felt like I ordered a French fry and cheese burrito. I hate to say it, but I low-key wish I had just gone to Chipotle tonight. I’m only writing this because I’ve been a longtime customer and really like Lupe’s. I just hope they don’t lose sight of what made the original Lupe’s so good: oversized burritos, generous portions, and a fair amount of meat. The burritos seem smaller now too, which makes the lack of steak even more noticeable. Still a Lupe’s fan, but tonight definitely wasn’t it.”
