“Atmosphere is a 10/10! Super relaxed and moody. Food was pretty decent too, although given the pricing I expected a little more of a wow factor. Burger tasted pretty average and fries are nothing special. Chicken had good flavor but was a bit dry and overcooked. Their drinks get a 0/10. They fill your entire cup with ice. Not even exaggerating. My ENTIRE cup was filled to the brim with ice with a few splashes of drink in the cracks. My virgin pina colada was gone in 3 sips. Not worth the money in the slightest.”

“I had made a reservation way in advance and then what followed didn’t feel right and actually never experienced this from a business. The situation was resolved and I was happy to finally get to be in the Royal Hawaiian . A place I used to walk by when I grew up in Laguna Beach as a kid. Parking was easy , hostess very nice . We took photos in the shell , looked around it was fun. And then there was no music at all. The table we sat at was dark as in no ambiance . I asked if it was possible to turn the lamps on , which they did. The food I thought was good. I had no bloating or tummy issues . I did think that the Pu Pu platter was too salty but everyone else seemed to enjoy it . 6 of us then sat at the bar . Jose the greatest bartender made Tiki drinks for us that were perfect !”

“Royal Hawaiian has been my favorite restaurant since it reopened a few years back. I’ve stopped in for a quick bite, I’ve had my birthday here, and everything in between. The staff is always accommodating for kids and there is something on the menu for everyone. I’m always looking forward to coming back in.”
