About
Solera is a wine bar and kitchen on Main Street in Seal Beach serving seasonal small plates, artisan charcuterie boards, and curated wines from around the world. We rotate our menu through the great food and wine traditions of Europe, all with the relaxed feel of a neighborhood spot steps from the beach. Our charcuterie boards feature imported and domestic meats, cheeses, and house accompaniments, available to enjoy here or to take to go. Perfect for a Duffy boat cruise, a beach picnic, or a night in. The wine list is intentionally focused. Every bottle is chosen with care, not volume. We'll walk you through what's open, what pairs well, and help you find something new without the pretension. Come as you are.

What people say
5 out of 5 stars
“We had been reading so much about the new restaurant on Main Street in Seal Beach that we couldn’t wait to experience it for ourselves. As huge wine enthusiasts who are admittedly a little *snooty* about our food, we walked in with high expectations. Solera Kitchen exceeded every one of them. We started with “This Burrata Is Nicole’s Drift,” and WOW! The homemade burrata, delicata squash, and arugula pumpkin seed pesto were absolutely on fire. Every bite was beautifully balanced, creative, and downright unforgettable. Next came the “Shoreside Pasta,” featuring house-rolled pasta and lump crab Provençal. Equally over-the-top superior. This was the kind of dish that reminds you what exceptional cooking is all about: incredible ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and flavors that leave you wanting more. To complement these outstanding dishes, we enjoyed a Sonoma Cabernet from Altruria Winery. The pairing was spot-on and made an already exceptional meal even better. First impression? An undeniable FIVE STARS! We were also fortunate to have Chef Michael stop by our table and share his culinary vision for the menu. It was wonderful to hear the passion and thought behind the dishes, and it made the experience that much more special. And a huge shout-out to Jade Shimamoto, whose excellent service was the perfect finishing touch. She was attentive, engaging, and graciously listened to all our crazy stories. Jade made us feel genuinely welcome, and that kind of hospitality is something you simply can’t teach. After more than 30 years of living in Rossmoor and spending countless hours on Main Street in Seal Beach, we’ve experienced our share of local dining. We can honestly say Solera Kitchen has raised the bar and is now our top choice for five-star cuisine in Seal Beach. Congratulations to Chef Michael, Brandon, Todd, Jade, and the entire Solera Kitchen team. You’ve created something truly special. We can’t wait to come back! Seal Beach, you have a new culinary star on Main Street!”

“We can not evaluate the food for now. We made afternoon reservations and were seated, but then told to leave when the worker said a private party was coming. Very disappointing. It's one thing if you're a walk in, another if reservations are made when they shouldn't have. Edit: My wife made the reservations”

“Not so great... Maybe bad day? My friends pasta sauce was like watered down.. Very bad for pasta. I had cabbage, big mistake. Only in Europe you can eat delicious cabbage here the cut it in 2 pieces heated up on a pan and for some reason the Chef choose a bitter souce :-( Sorry looks so nice through the Window but will be not back..”
