TOGO'S Sandwiches

“I really don’t like writing negative reviews because I genuinely enjoy going to TOGO’s, especially this location. Unfortunately, after tonight’s experience, I can honestly say we won’t be coming back. My girlfriend ordered a sandwich, but the wrong meat was put on it. What was especially frustrating was the lack of communication between the person taking the order and the person making the sandwich. Unlike places such as Subway or Blaze Pizza, where you can clearly watch your food being made and communicate directly with the person preparing it, that wasn’t really possible here. I was also very concerned about the food-handling practices we witnessed. The employee was touching different surfaces and items with the same gloves without changing them, wiping the gloves with a paper towel instead. We also saw the same gloves being used while handling raw chicken and then touching other areas of the preparation station, including the board where my tuna sandwich was supposed to be prepared. That raised serious concerns about cross-contamination. To make matters worse, the attitude from the person behind the counter made the situation even more frustrating. We simply wanted our order prepared correctly and safely, but it felt like communication and customer service were lacking. It’s disappointing because we have enjoyed coming here in the past. Unfortunately, after tonight’s experience, we’ll be taking our business elsewhere. If I’m going to spend money on a meal, I want to feel confident that my order is being made correctly and that proper food-safety practices are being followed.”
