“One of a handful of banana and sweet treat stands on the main drag if the island, Dad's seems to be considered as one of the two true originals. Our partner had been dozens of times in their childhood and they insisted on hippo cookies and suggested trying a frozen banana as we'd never had one anywhere. The stand was bustling even on a Sunday evening, but the line moves fast as families get there bananas and treats. The staff member was great and they dip and top the bananas as ordered. We got a large banana with milk chocolate and the toffee pieces (I think they call it butter crunch?). As well as the afore mentioned hippo cookies. The banana was tasty, but the frozen state of it gives that slightly squeaky feel on the teeth like frozen pieces of strawberries in ice cream, something i really don't like. As it thawed more it was even better and a lovely sweet but not too sweet treat. The cookies are perfect home made sugar cookies, fresh and chewy and very sweet, plus adorable. The bananas are around 8 bucks and are pretty great, and everything else on the menu seems very popular. A great stop for sweet treats.”
