“I left this class feeling scammed and disrespected. I’ve taken five paint-and-sip classes, and this was by far the worst experience. If Karen didn’t feel up to hosting a small class, she should’ve just cancelled. The owner, Karen, did not lead the class herself. Instead, she had a friend or boyfriend run the session while she worked on a separate personal project. She even joked he wasn’t an employee; which wouldn’t have been an issue if he had demonstrated strong skills or experience, but he most definitely didn’t. He frequently referred to the reference painting on the screen to decide what to do next, which made the instruction feel disorganized and unprofessional. He repeatedly described the piece as “whimsical,” but it felt more like a way to justify the fact that his version didn’t resemble the painting that was advertised when I booked the class. By the end, the paintings produced in class, including the instructor’s, looked very different from the example shown on the screen and on the website. This is where it became evident for me we’d been scammed since we signed up expecting to create something similar to the advertised image. Our version of the painting was very elementary. Very little shading instruction was offered so our paintings look very one dimensional. We even received contradicting instructions from the instructor and Karen. Overall, this class did not meet expectations in terms of instruction, professionalism, or accuracy to what was advertised. I would not recommend it based on my experience.”

“First time visiting and had a great time! Karen makes painting seems so easy and it turns out it was! The ambiance was fantastic, she mixes teaching techniques with trivia about Art, music that turns into a mini karaoke and this is why’s it makes it educational, entertaining and truly enjoyable. The studio is big and there’s other painting classes that she does. Most definitely will come back!”

“Came here as part of a teambuilding event for work. I had a lot of stress built up about it because I'm colorblind and not an artist. Karen, our "coach" did a marvelous job making us all feel at ease, telling jokes and stories while explaining the techniques and brush strokes. I came away having a good time and an appreciation for her skills. This place would be great for a business teambuilding event, a date night or even if you want to try your hand at something new.”
