The character for Gui【簋】represents an ancient circular food container. Made out of bamboo, it was used four thousand years ago during Shang and Zhou dynasties. In the Dongzhimen district of present-day Beijing, there is a street named"Gui," a sleepless food street embellished with red lanterns and radiant signs.
