“The food was excellent and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. The service was lack luster. This could have been due to my servers changing during my time eating there and me being seated by 2 large parties of 8+ groups, but I was basically forgotten about for long periods of time. Aside from the service, which I will give the benefit of the doubt due to the circumstances, this is easily a place I would come back to the next time I'm in the area.”

Our head cook will be undergoing a much-needed surgery and taking some time to recover. Because she is such an important part of our small business and plays a huge role in the food and quality you have come to know and love, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close our doors from October 11, 2026 through January 2027 (estimated return date).
We believe this is the right decision because we never want to compromise the quality, care, and experience that we strive to provide at Picante Martins. Our kitchen is a small business built around the people who make it special, and her health and recovery come first.
We are looking forward to reopening as soon as she has recovered and is ready to return.
